Rowan Fielding, a neurosurgeon from San Francisco, was troubled by the emergence of her peculiar abilities. She embarked on a journey to uncover her obscured lineage, leading her to the home of her birth mother, Annabeth Gish, in New Orleans. There, Rowan learned that she belonged to a dynasty of witches and that she would be the next target for a demonic entity, portrayed by Jack Huston, which had been tormenting the family for generations.
